African Proverb: You can outrun what is running after you , but not what is running inside of you .
Meaning: This proverb has many applications or meanings. In terms of career , it means if you are called to be say a teacher, you can't run away from it. The reason is because that calling is within you. And no matter how hard you try at something else, you'll never find fulfilment except if you embrace that calling. With regard to conscience, it means no matter where you run away to, you cannot run away from a guilty conscience. And in relation to character, we could say if you have a major character problem, no matter where you run away to, your character will always find you out.
